How can I empty my ipod without deleting my library?
I share my ipod library with my sister and I wanted to empty the music from my ipod shuffle to make room for new ones, without deleting them from the library. IDeas?

You can restore the factory settings on the ipod, which erases everything on it.
If you want to keep some of the songs, but not erase all of them, try selecting manually manage music under your ipod settings in itunes, and you should be able to drag music in and out of the ipod.

ya when you connect your ipod you should see the picture of your ipod should come up and then it should have tabs at the top like….music,pictures, etc.) go to the one that is music and make sure sync’ is selected above the box with the playlists in it. then select/ deselect the playlists that you want or don’t want on your IPOD ! hope this helps!
this will only erase the songs from ur ipod not from the library or anything.
