Just run two cables from the LNB of the dish directly into the receiver. That’s it. Do not use a splitter, it kills the signal. If you have other receivers, then use a multiswith, not a splitter.
Get a splitter specifically marked for satellite TV. They all run off of Coax. Make sure you use quad shield Coax.
