Ok I have really good episodes of shows to record but I must delete them before I run out of space in my DVR. But They were good episodes and I want to record them on a blank tape. So I hooked the red, white, and yellow cable to the back of the vcr and the tv and I hit record for about 1 minute of my show and rewinded but nothing came out on the tape. Do I need an extra cord or something? I have no idea how to record it?

  1. Jeremy J.(ROSA MENDES AND JOSH) says:

Connect Red & White Audio Wires From the DVR Audio Output to the VCR Audio Input.
Connect Yellow Video Wire From the DVR Video Output to the VCR Video Input.
Connect Red & White Audio Wires From the VCR Audio Output to the TV Audio Input.
Connect Yellow Video Wire From the VCR Video Output to the TV Video Input.
Change the input on your TV to Video or Auxiliary
Once your connections are completed, turn the TV, VCR & DVR on as if you were going to watch a video tape. Set the VCR’s video to the input where the DVR is connected. You should now see the DVR image on your screen. Pop in a tape, start watching the show on the DVR and hit the Record button on the VCR.
