And maybe links to where I could buy one (online is preferable). I want a digital camera with at least 5 mega pixels and like I said a swivel/tilt and twist LCD screen. Or some variation of that, I want to be able to take pictures at weird angles but know what the picture will look like before I take it. Thanks!

It shows the standard battery life and shots remaining, but I have to look thru the viewfinder to see what I want to shoot. In the instruction manual it shows me being able to view the subject in the LCD screen- just don’t know how to do so.

I just dropped my fujifilm finepix s700 and the lcd screen is messed up. It’s white with black spotches at the top and lines. I know it’s busted. That’s the only thing wrong, the messed up screen. I know it won’t be cheap but how much would it cost to replace an lcd screen on my camera?

10 Reasons To Install A Security Camera System In The Spring

Finally spring is approaching! The days are getting longer, the temperatures are getting warmer and plans for gardening, outdoor parties and weekend getaways dominate conversations at dinner tables and water coolers. We all have different ways of coming out of hibernation this time of year.

We like to think of all the wonderful things that spring brings. It is easy to forget the nuisances of warmer weather.

As the temperatures rise, sadly so does criminal activity. While most of us start planning a much needed weekend getaway or outdoor BBQ, there is some petty criminal planning their next break in or theft. Most people I know think of spring as a time to get a fresh start. Unfortunately there is some jerk out there that just can’t wait to vandalize a building or steal a car.

Spending more time outside means more kids playing near the street or pool. Untidy dog walkers are the scourge of my neighborhood.

When we are on vacation trying to enjoy new scenery and distractions, in the back of minds we often wonder how things are going back home. Think about how much more relaxing it would be to occasionally take look at what is going on or simply be alerted if something did happen.

There is added frustration for pet owners when they are planning a vacation. Quite often pets are left at home for short periods of time during our get away and we wonder how they are doing. It would be great to be able to peek in on them when we get a chance to see if they are OK.

There is good news. Like never before security camera systems can protect us from all these worries. The selection of security camera products and features available to the do it yourself home owner or small business owner is unprecedented.

SVAT Electronics recently came out with a web ready video baby monitoring system that can use up to 3 cameras and can be viewed from any internet connection.

Swann Security has a whole array of 2, 4 and 8 camera DVR security systems that are easy to install and give you advanced features that you never thought would be available to a novice.

Wireless security cameras systems have more capabilities than ever and are very easy to install. Most of these systems come with outdoor night vision cameras that are perfect for monitoring a front door or driveway.

The best part is the products are not as expensive as you think.

So here are 10 good reasons to get a security camera system in the springtime:

- Stop criminals from even thinking about attacking your property

- Check in on pets when you are on vacation or at work

- Keep an eye on kids playing in the backyard or around a pool

- Monitor your cars in the driveway

- Check to see the person who is at the front door

- If you are not at home you can have a message sent to you if there activity inside

- Be alerted when there is an unwanted person or animal in your yard or garden

- Catch a vandal who destroys your property

- Keep an eye on a boat parked in a slip via the internet

- And my Number One reason – catch the untidy dog walker

Infra-red bounce from number plates has always been an issue with CCTV Cameras.  Some cameras will allow you to view number plates during daylight hours but as it gets dark and the camera infra-red switches on so the number plate appears as a white rectangular box.

Their new model KS-848VR (which has a resolution of 540TVL, SONY SuperHAD CCD with SONY DSP together with 8-40mm Auto-Iris Lens) will allow you to view number plates upto 25m away with head-on headlights.

1/3″ SONY SuperHAD CCD with SONY DSP Resolution options: 420TVL and 540TVL 8 pcs (Hi-power) and 22 pcs (standard) Infra-red (IR) LEDs IR range ~70m Vari-focal 8mm-40mm Manual Lens, adjustable Vari-Focal Controls under base (Zoom & Focus) Read number plates with headlights ON upto 25m Weatherproof (for Internal & External use), IP65  Illumination 1 Lux day, 0 Lux night Auto AGC, BLC Includes sliding sunshade Cable managed Bracket Colour: Silver
