How do I take content from my DirecTV DVR and put it on my computer?
I have the standard direct tv dvr and I want to take the shows I have recorded and transfer them to my computer with the intent of eventually putting them on dvd’s. Everyone I’ve asked seems to think this is possible but nobody knows how to do it. Thanks for your help.

On the other end of the spectrum is the Independent Film Channel, which shows lesser-known, low-budget movies. Award-winning movies from its namesake festival can be found on The Sundance Channel. Fox Movie Channel shows all the popular movies that its parent companyâs production house has produced. Then, of course, there is Turner Classic Movies, which shows films considered to be the best of all time.
With more blizzards on the way, itâs time to get satellite TV or digital cable, so that you donât get trapped without entertainment. Keep in mind that DVR is also great for rainy Saturdays or sick days. Any time you are stuck in the house, DVR is the only way to make sure you donât end up watching soap operas or old re-runs.

I know to use as a computer monitor it would converted to an analog display, but if you could convert the wires from the lcd to a s-video plug and an external power supply you should have it solved.
