Is it legal to charge sales tax on money that is being used to repay tax exempt bonds?

Our community issued tax exempt bonds to build improvements to the utility system. A portion of our utility bill goes to repay that tax exempt bond. However, we are charged sales tax on ALL of the utility bill. Is this legal under the IRS and SEC rules, or should they be exempting a pro-rated portion of the bill from sales taxes?
Our city does not receive revenue from property tax. The property tax goes to the school district. The city is operated from 2 sources of revenue: the profit on the city-operated electric, water, and gas utility and the proceeds from a 1.5% sales tax.

I forgot to file taxes in 2005. I have to turn in past 2 years tax returns for final mortgage approval. I filed the return right away, dropped it off at local office with check for balance. Will this hurt my chances of the mortgage going through? Bank had my W2s and tax returns will match up.

LCD in a house where no surge protector was used fuse blew, after replacing the fuse it keeps blowing?

I have a 19″ Sylvania LCD wide screen hdtv. The model is LC195SL9 B made last year in april. I took it apart and replaced the fuse, but when i pluged it in again the fuse blew, How can i fix this?

READ CAREFULLY here. I have a Sharp Aquos 37″ LCD TV. There were many different models of the 37″ Aquos LCD TV. Some came with a VGA adapter, some came with a DVI (HDMI) adapter, and some didn’t come with any. The native resolution is an awkward one. I’ve connected my computer to this television in every possible way, using every possible cable at every possible resolution. I either get no picture, blurry picture, pixelated picture or ghosted picture. When used as a TV, it is awesome! When used as a monitor, it is very poor. I WANT EVERYONE’S EXPERIENCED OPINION on what they prefer as an LCD TV (not plasma) and I want all the specs too please. I want to know what cable you are using and how it connects. Is it composite, component, DVI/HDMI VGA S-video whatever. I want to know what video card, what resolution on the card AND what the native (preferred/default) resolution is on the LCD TV. What size it the TV, the model # etc. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
