it’d be easier to ask which Pink Floyd songs aren’t good…which there are very few.

I just watched a race video, where rich guys get together with local governments, close a section of highway and blast down it having a great time. Waters and another guy were in it, and the video had a studio soundtrack of their songs. I’d never heard these versions anywhere else. “Run like hell” played a lot. I was stunned. They’ve only gotten better over the years.

I don’t remember the other songs, but the video soundtrack was amazing.

I grew up listening to Pink Floyd and I’ve heard all of their albums – their 70’s music is the best. My personal favourites are Breathe/On The Run, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage/Eclipse, Wish You Were Here, Shine on you Crazy Diamond, Welcome to the Machine, Dogs, The Thin Ice/Another Brick in the Wall, Empty Spaces, Hey You, and Run Like Hell.

I honestly believe they recorded the best Album Track ever in “Echoes” off Meddle, but where else do you go with a Discography as great as theirs? Interstellar Overdrive, One of these Days, Sheep, etc etc.

It depends. If you’re new to Floyd you definitely want to start with Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. These three albums cover it all. It really depends on your mood. That being said after being a Floyd fan for many many years I was totally blown away by Meddle, the standouts for me being A Pillow of Winds, Fearless, San Tropez, and Seamus. Along with One of These Days it’s easily in my top five A-sides of all time. Total Gem.

    have a cigar
