What Cables To Use To Conect Dvr To Dvd Recorder?

My DVR has no copy to device feature and only one video an audio output jack.I need to use a Y cable for the outputs on the DVR.Do I use composite or component cables?Wal mart had 3 different kinds and I wasnt shure wich one to use without degrading the picture on a HD TV.

    For HDTV, you have to hook-up your TV with component cables. (assumming your DVR doesn’t have an HDMI connector). Your DVDR won’t have component connectors, you have to connect to the DVR using a composite cable. The sound outputs from the DVR have to be connected via Y adapters to both the DVDR and the TV.

    Use the cables that match the output on your DVR. Most likely composite (Red/Yellow/White). Connect them to a composite input on your DVD recorder.
