If you have the album Dark Side of the Moon and the movie Wizard of Oz….

you wait until the 3rd roar of the MGM lion, start the cd, and keep the movie on mute- the songs tell a story with the movie.

    its pretty amazing.

Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album, so is Animals (its about government corruption) and Wish you were here is another concept album about Syd Barret

  3. Dr.Feelgood says:

The wall the wall the wall

  4. Shades of Grey♥ says:

Wish You Were Here ~ more a ‘theme’ than a ’story’ ~ missing Syd, mainly. Same with many of the songs on Dark Side of the Moon…. songs about insanity and loss.

  5. Rattlehead says:

The Wall, Animals, Dark Side of the Moon

Many of Pink Floyd’s albums have some kind of a story. They are known as “concept album’s”. These albums would include all the albums from Dark Side of the Moon to The Final Cut. The album that has the best story is 1979 The Wall. It is somewhat of an autobiography of Roger Water’s life. Also a really great album. All the other albums are based on an idea. For example, Dark Side is mostly about death and the human condition. Animals is basically a social commentary. Wish You Were Here is about Syd Barret and Pink Floyd’s disgust towards the music industry. But I am very glad to hear that people are still interested in quality music, and if possible, buy ALL of their albums. They are all quite amazing.
