Will a Cox DVR that has been pre-programmed continue to record if a show runs long?

If a game or race runs long will the DVR automatically continue to record if it has been preset or will it cut off at the original time?

    As soon as it hits the new cable guide, your recording stops. What I do is record the next 3 shows if watching Nascar and sports I record the next 2. If it doesn’t run long you just delete the other shows.
    I tried putting in 60 mins longer on the time but that doesn’t work.
